Activities carried out by the alumni association in the recent past are -

Kavi Sammelons held with Joy Goswami and other renowned poets from Bengal. In one of the Sammelon, the poetry reading and discussions were followed by a performance by the well known singer “Kabir Suman” from Bengal.

Student welfare activity with the formation of a welfare fund with voluntary donations from members. Scholarship of 3000/- each is given to four JU students selected from the panel prepared by the parent association in Jadavpur University.

Lumpsum donation of 5000/- has been given to a needy meritorious student from Purulia identified by a school headmaster. Plans are afoot to augment the fund by various activities.

‘Sakale Soumitra’, a unique program arranged at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad involving the legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee and a host of drama and TV personalities.

Symposium on Popular Sciences held at IICT, Hyderabad involving the participation of nationally recognized scientists such as Dr. Lalji Singh, Dr. Jagannadham, Dr. Ramroop Sarkar, Dr. Utpal Bhadra, Dr. Suman Mukerjee and Dr. Subir Chaudhury, and close to 80 school students. A science quiz was conducted by Bedodyuti Chakraborty.

A major cultural programme was held in April 2010 in Shilparamam. It included a Yugal dance performance by noted danceuse Anupama Kylash and Sanjay Kumar Joshi. The dance programme was followed by songs and dances by Baul artists from Bengal.

A great successful programme was the organization of Bandish fusion musical night on 8th Jan 2011 at Rabindra Bharati. People from all walks of life came and enjoyed the musical extravaganza put up by Shubhen Chatterjee, Raghav Chatterjee, Pdt. Viswa Mohan Bhat, Guitarist Amyt Dutta and team. Pdt. Bhat's Mohan Veena or the sliding guitar performance was the ace and the twin performance of "Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram" and "Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka" stole every body's heart

A philanthropic activity (distribution of old clothes) was carried out in RCI on 24th April 2011
