President, Ms. Chandana Khan, IAS, M Phil English Literature
Ms. Chandana Khan joined Indian Adminsitrative Service in 1979. Since then she has worked in several capacities in the state of Andhra Pradesh. She had worked as collector in Kadappa district. She was also the director – “woman, child and disability welfare”. She was secretary to “Road and Building Department” and was also the principal secretary of “Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports”. Presently she is working as the Commissioner of Enquiries under GAD. She completed her M. Phil in English literature from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and has also done an M.A in gender development from University of East Anglia, Norwich. Her areas of interest are painting & creative writing. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions of paintings in India and abroad. She has published 4 collections of poems & 3 collections of short stories in Bengali.
Secretary, Mr. Debashis Basu, MD, Voith Turbo India
Debashis Basu graduated in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 1976 (old batch passing out during end of 1977). His first job was with Protos Engineering, Kolkata where he worked for ten years. In the year 1988, he decided to join one such German company by name Voith, who had decided to start their Indian operations of manufacturing at Hyderabad. He took charge as Managing Director of Voith Turbo, India a wholly owned company of Voith Turbo, Germany on January 01, 2008. Well settled at Hyderabad, Debashis hopes to complete his professional career at Hyderabad itself barring unforeseen development.

Course-1969 ) ; Sabyasachi Bir remained National Scholarship holder during his entire academic career in school,college & university. He acquired vast project execution experience ( more than 41-Years mostly at site) for EPC/Turn Key Projects of National interests ( Both domestic and international ). Dr. Madhab K. Chattopadhay, M Pharm(1980), PhD (1990)
Born at Chandernagore (Dt Hooghly, West Bengal), Passed Higher Secondary from Kanailal Vidyamandir, Chandernagore (1974), B.Pharm (1978) and M.Pharm (1980) from Jadavpur University. Awarded Ph.D in Pharmacy by Jadavpur University (1990 , Spl : Microbial Biochemistry), thesis work done at Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB, CSIR), Kolkata . Worked as a Chemist at National Pharmaceuticals, Kolkata (1981-82) ; as a Lecturer at Dept of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dibrugarh University, Assam (1986-88); as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Institut Jacques Monod ,Paris University, France (2001) ; as a Visiting Scientist at Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries, Stechlin, Germany (2006 and 2009) . Working as a Scientist at Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB, CSIR), Hyderabad, since March 1988. Area of research interest : Bacterial physiology. Treasurer, Debopam Chakrabarti, BE, Mechanical Engineering, 1984
Debopam Chakrabarti is currently working in one of the Big4 Consulting Company and handling multiple international Business transformation project. He has around 15 years of experience in Manufacturing Industry and 10 years in Business Consulting. He is a certified Project Management professional and closely working with PMI local chapters on delivering sessions on Project Management excellence. He likes listening to music, reading poems and try writing occasionally. He looks for all possible opportunity to spend maximum time with his family.
Jt. Secretary, Sushanta Dutta, BE, Production Engineering, 1985
Sushanta Dutta is working as a Group Head of Design/Engineering in an Indo-German MNC in Hyderabad. He has over 24 years of experience in design/engineering of rotary and static equipment for Process Industries. His activity is in his language “striving to achieve what not”. His areas of interest are reading and listening to (“heart to mind”) music.
Jt. Secretary, Dr. Chanchal Sarbajna (PhD), MSc. in Applied Geology, 1991
Dr. Chanchal Sarbajna is a Senior scientist (geochemist), working in Mineralogy-Geochemistry Group of Atomic Minerals Directorate, Dept of Atomic Energy, Hyderabad. He did his PHD in Geochemistry from Osmania University, in 1999. He published about 20 research articles in national and international journals. Photography and games like football and badminton are his favourite pass time.
Bedadyuti Chakraborty, Pharamaceuticals, B Pharm, M. Tech (Biotechnology), 1996
![]() As a Biotechnologist Bedadyuti is presently engaged in anti-cancer drug development program of Dr. Reddy's,Hyderabad. He was the "Best All Round" Graduate and Post-Graduate medals holder of JU. Shantanu Dey is a certified Project Management Professional from PMI, USA and is presently working as a manager in a multinational media and publishing conglomerate. He did his post graduation from Indian institute of Management, Ahmedabad and has over 10 years of industry experience in IT, Telecom and manufacturing industries. Soumik De,BE Computer Sc. 2005, MS, BITS
Soumik in his own words is a very simple guy from Uttarpara, a holy place by the side of river Ganges, which is around 15km away from the city of joy Kolkata. He studied at Uttarpara Govt. High School till 2001 and completed BE in Computer Science from Jadavpur University ('05) and MS in Software Systems from BITS Pilani ('08). By profession he is a Software Engineer and working in Microsoft Corporation since last six years. In personal life he loves music mainly Bengali modern song and Hindustani classical music. He loves to see play and group theatre and am very much enthusiastic about cricket. But he really enjoys his time with family. He likes traditional Bengali food specially prepared by his mom. His favorite quotation is - "It is very easy to give up and all you have to say is 'I quit', but the hard part is to carry on, I have the power to shape my own fate!"
