Bratati Majumdar
Ingredients:
Fish (Rohu or Bhetki) – 500 gm
Curd – ½ cup
Sugar – 3 teaspoon
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Chili Powder – 1 teaspoon
Ginger Paste – ½ teaspoon
Garlic Paste – 1 pinch
Onion Paste – 1 tablespoon
Turmeric Powder – ½ teaspoon
Garam Masala Powder – ½ teaspoon
Coriander Paste / Powder – 1 teaspoon
Oil – 2 table spoon (microwave) or 50 gm for shallow fry
Chopped Tomato – 1
Chopped Carrot and Capsicum – 1 each
Method:
Marinate the fish with all the spices except garam masala. Keep it marinated for 1 hour. Sprinkle garam masala and 1 tablespoon oil. Cook in the microwave oven for eight minutes. Make sure that both the sides are evenly cooked.
Alternatively, if cooking on stove top, then heat the oil, put the fish, sprinkle garam masala and cover it. Keep cooking on medium heat. Garnish with chopped carrot, capsicum and tomato.
