Baby Potato – 1 kg (peeled)

Fenugreek seed – 1 tea spoon

Fenugreek leaves – 2 table spoon

Tomato – 2, chopped

Ginger paste – 1 table spoon

Turmeric powder – 1 tea spoon

Chili powder – 1 tea spoon


Heat oil in a pan. Add fenugreek seeds and saute them before picking them out of oil to retain flavour. Then add potatoes,chopped tomato, ginger paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) and sugar according to taste. Cook till oil separates. Add water and salt. Boil till the potatoes are cooked properly on low flame. Finally, add a pinch of garam masala and coriander leaves.

Serve hot with paratha or roti
